Je suis très honoré d'avoir reçu l'award du jeune navigateur de l'année, décerné par le Cruising club of America au mythique New York Yacht Club à Manhattan.

“The young voyager award” décore un jeune marin ayant effectué un ou plusieurs voyages extraordinaire, en référence à notre (Monique et moi) tour du globe par les pôles, mais aussi au passage du Nord Ouest et à notre hivernage en autarcie dans les glaces du Groenland.

C'est un privilège pour moi de recevoir cette distinction par une institution qui a décoré les grands noms de la voile , comme Eric Tabarly et Bernard Moitessier pour ne citer qu’eux.

Je n'aurais jamais imaginé mériter une telle récompense pour être allé au bout de mon rêve le plus tenace.

I am very honored to have received the award of the young navigator of the year, awarded by the Cruising Club of America, prestigious international sailor’s club since 1922, at the legendary New York Yacht Club in Manhattan.

It is a privilege to receive this distinction from an institution that has decorated the big names in sailing, such as Tabarly and Moitessier. I would never have imagined deserving such an award for reaching my tenacious dream.

I am definitely looking forward for my next expedition, I hope possible in 2021.
