Ce mardi 23 décembre, à 11h36 au nord de l’île d’Ouessant, Guirec a franchi la ligne de départ du « Global Challenge » à bord du maxi trimaran Ultim MACSF.
L’objectif de Guirec ? Battre le record le plus engagé de l’histoire du tour du monde à la voile, à l’envers et en solitaire, détenu depuis 21 ans par le célèbre marin VDH en 122 jours.
Jamais bouclé en multicoque, Guirec va devoir puiser dans ses ressources les plus insoupçonnées pour faire face aux forces extrêmes de la nature. Résilience et surpassement seront les maîtres-mots de ce challenge hors norme.

This Tuesday, December 23th, at 11:36 a.m. north of the island of Ouessant, Guirec crossed the starting line of the “Global Challenge” aboard the maxi trimaran Ultim MACSF.
Guirec’s objective? Beat the most committed record in the history of sailing around the world, the reverse way and solo, held for 21 years by the famous sailor VDH in 122 days.
Never having sailed in a multihull, Guirec will have to draw on his most unsuspected resources to face the extreme forces of nature. Resilience and surpassing will be the key words of this extraordinary challenge.
