Débuts difficiles
Bonjour les amis,
J'aurais préféré vous dire que je voguais sur le Gulf stream et bénéficiais de jolis vents portants mais c'est une entrée en matière plutôt sportive à laquelle j'ai le droit. Les très forts courants et le vent de sud me mènent la vie dure. Je dois user d'endurance et ruser de tactique pour contrer les éléments et espérer enfin sortir du plateau continental et éviter de me rapprocher dangereusement du Canada.
Je rame jusqu'à 19h par jour, et quand j'essaie de me reposer je dois mettre mon ancre flottante pour ne pas voir tous mes efforts réduits à néant et surtout faire attention a tous les bateaux de pêche qui sont dans ma zone avec parfois une visibilité très mauvaise due à l'épais brouillard quasi quotidien.
Vous l’aurez compris je n’ai pas trop le temps de m’ennuyer, mon corps a besoin de toute l'énergie disponible, donc je mange plus que de raison pour ne pas me blesser. Promis, dès que j'ai un peu de temps je vous envoie plus de nouvelles.
J’espère que bientôt j’aurai des vents plus favorables.
Évidemment je garde le moral même si ce n'est pas simple

HARD TIMES
Hello my friends,
I would have preferred to tell you that I was cruising on the Gulf Stream with nice downwinds, but so far it is never happening. The very strong currents and the southerly wind are giving me a tough life. I must use endurance and think tactical to counter the elements and hope to finally get out of the continental shallow waters. I have to avoid coming dangerously close to Canada.
I row until 19h a day, and when I try to rest I have to put my floating anchor so as not to see all my efforts reduced to nothing. I have to constantly pay attention to all the fishing boats in the area with sometimes very poor visibility due to the almost daily thick fog.
You will understand that I don't have much time to be bored, my body needs all the energy available, so I eat more than I need to avoid hurting myself.
I promise to give more you more news asap.
Hopefully soon I will have more favorable winds.
Obviously I keep my morale up, even if it's not easy
